Not my finest moment. Or feeling.

I need strawberries to drown my sorrows with.

I don't think I did very well in this exam. :(

I don't think I've felt this way before. It's so bad that I'm not enjoying the freedom now.

Bugger, must slap this nonsense out of me.

Why did I screw up. I don't want to be a disappointment to myself, or my parents.

I'll work harder next semester, it's a promise.

Maybe it's because of that, but I have this sudden urge to go places. Like travel to places.

I just spent the last hour going to travel websites, hotel and flight bookings. My hand is just itching to book everything there.

I'm slightly bummed that I haven't been to many places yet. I've already been here for a little less than 4 months and all I've been to other than Bath itself is Bristol, London and Swindon. I live to travel. I'm heartbroken. Nvm, it's hello Glasgow in April. Unless the Glasgow girl wants to go to Paris with me :D

Dorm rooms

So tomorrow is my last paper, and I chose to spend 3 hours the night before to decorate my walls.

Results

It looks better on photo than the real thing. But I love it. <3

It's still kind of unfinished, because my second batch of photos have no arrived yet. But this is the idea so far.

It would be good to have some fairy lights lining the row of pictures though.

This project has lead me to research on dorm room decorations. And I came across a few really good ones. Thought I would share with you guys. Enjoy! And maybe get some inspiration from these too.

Yes, I have a thing for fairy lights :)

This is really cool. I think they flicked glow in the dark paint into the jars. Good night lamp! Gives your room that extra cool touch. And very eco too. No batteries needed. Solar all the wayyyy :)

In the midst of revision, I find myself constantly thinking of the things I can do after the exams.

Catch up on the movies I've missed, make CNY snacks, do FUN stuff.

It's just that, life is a little mundane right now.

My typical day : eat, gym, study, eat, study, eat, sleep. (repeat everyday)

For real.

I feel the need to shop for dresses. I need more dresses.

Wearing jeans every single day isn't making me feel very attractive.

Can't believe I left so many in Malaysia. SAD.

That's what I need. :)

Yes, not knowing your purpose in this world isn't something only you face. Loads of people do. Don't need to be depressed about it. I know you don't want to overthink, but you're a thinker and that's who you are. You think. But rather than thinking about how you're gonna plan your life and trying to make it perfect and all, think of the next step. I know you didn't understand most of the things we said that night and you still probably won't get it still. But what I really wanted to say was, have a little faith. :) In life. In going with the flow. Someone wise once said, life is God's novel, let Him write it. You're carrying too much than you're supposed to. I don't know, life is too hard to go through alone. :)

And take it from me, take one step at a time, you'll see the little things that make life worth it. :)

Things like weetabix, strawberries and bananas in yoghurt. :)

And things like going on an epic ride.

Today I was thinking of a friend. She made the biggest decision ever.

I am extremely happy for her, no, more like, ecstatic and excited at what He is gonna do in her life. Because whatever it is, it's gonna be amazing.

I know it may not be the easiest decision to make, but it would be the best decision ever. It was for me. :)

And it'll be worth it. Remember how you feel right now, and not ever lose the passion. <3

Decided to take a break today. It was a good break.

Highlight of the day, lunch. I still can't get it out of my mind.

It was like this, maddy and I left JJB and we turned the left corner.

And there it was, right there. The bakery. It's THE bakery. :O

I'm telling you, the bread is awesome. I think it's newly opened because I don't think I have seen it there before.

Anyway, any bread lover should and must go. :)

I dunno, I have a thing for homemade bread.

So far, I've spent 4 out of 4 days in the gym and the library. Not very exciting.

But no choice. Exams in 2 weeks. Panicking slightly now.

I have a de-stress routine every evening :)

I dance. In my room. Alone.

And sing. Though that wouldn't be an option after everyone in my flat moves back in.

I've been taking guitar lessons from a friend. :)

It makes me happy. Now that I can make out the songs that I'm playing, I feel slightly better than when I tried to play at home.

I would need to buy a guitar soon Or ship mine from Malaysia. Or not. :/

I miss playing piano. A bit :)

I don't know. It feels weird. 2012 seemed like a faraway thing a while ago. Now I'm here. Pretty daunting I guess.

I love how we ended 2011. Steamboat and 'fireworks'. Yeah, we had our own indoor fireworks, which was really small but it was pretty cool. :) Everyone went round the table with new year resolutions. I didn't have anything prepared. :O Well, we didn't really go round the table, seeing I got stuck and we just stopped there. Truthfully, I didn't think of any resolutions just yet. It just didn't occur to me that I will keep them. But maybe, 2012 is a good year to start to. There one resolution, is to keep my resolutions. HAH! :D

Fine I'll make one now. But some are private so forgive me if I don't share all of it here. It is public after all :)

Learn guitar. A friend has been giving me lessons. One lesson so far, to be exact. But I want to play most songs by the end of the year :) That's one.

Get a 70% or above. Yeah, aiming high. But we all need to work under a little pressure don't we? :) I really don't know how I'll make it, but I will.

Not reach the 50 mark. I'm talking about my weight :) I'm bordering 49 and it's scary. Who gains 6 kg, seriously. It's quite alarming. Yeah, so gyming for now. BURN THOSE FATS.

Last thing, is in 365 days at this very same time, I'll look back and think,

Man, wasn't that a great year. *sheds a tear for 2012*

And to embrace 2013 with more wisdom and maturity ;)

Time to reflect.

2011 proved to be a good year.

You know I say that for every year but it's true.

How do you even define a bad year? Something horrible happened to you?

So how would anyone define a good year then? Something wonderful happened to you?

Contradicting. :) So pick the brighter option.

Come on, 365 days, don't tell me you expect everyday to be wonderful and amazing?

Sure, there are also the ups and definitely the downs, but most importantly is looking back and not regretting, feeling contented, learning from your mistakes and accepting that all of that has to happen to make you who you are today.

Right. :D

God really brought me through this year. I'm just really grateful to have my family with me throughout this year. I've maintained good relationships friends, with my best friends, and made loads of great ones in university. Psst, they are awesome. You have no idea. :D I completed A-levels, had a toothache, bummed around, grown more in Christ, bummed around some more, went out LOADS, broke up, went to university, started learning french, experienced hail and slight snow, grew fat and chubby, turned 19. :)

There is no need to separate the good things from the bad, because it won't make a difference. Those belong in 2011. Now, we shall look to 2012 :D

Resolutions? Maybe later.

Not like I kept my 2011 resolutions anyway :)

For now, I just can say that 2012 will be fanfreakingtastic. I feel it already. <3

This two weeks. In a nutshell.

Birthday. Was. GOOOOOOD.

Two nights of madness when kevin came over :) Well, those nights had nothing to do with my birthday since they didn't know until the last half hour or something. Really. But it's fine. I wouldn't have it any other way. I loved it, just spending time with everyone, in a chillax, non-celebration kind of way. You know the awkward feeling when people sing the happy birthday song and you have nothing else to do during the duration of the song but to nod and smile and do an awkward turtle. xD But it turned out pretty awesome I must say. Good bonding time with my mates. Thanks guys. I love them so. <3 Heh :)

Winter wonderland

IT'S AMAAAAZING! I feel like I'm living in a dream. You know how I always talk about ferris wheel, cotton candy, rides, teddy bears to be won and those nonsense? IT'S ALL THERE!! Money flows out like water there though. Be mentally ready for the spending, and also of course your wallet.

Boxing day, was MAD.

The crowd was crazy. Bought like 80 pounds worth of stuff. Pretty good deals actually. I should have bought more actually. The leather jacket and the red trench coat. Oh well...apparently the sales will be for one whole month. So yeah, PLENTY OF TIME. Hahahaha. Nahh, enough shopping for now.

Oh and I thought you people should know about the stabbing in oxford street. Poor man. People, do be careful of people like that. :/

You know people gain weight during winter righttttt. So I, finally accepting my bloated face and expanding butt, weighed myself on a scale. And, the moment of truth was pretty ugly. Gained 6 kilos. GUYS! THIS IS NONSENSE. D:

I was sad. So I went to eat to relax. Didn't help.

Christmas dinner

Had an awesome Christmas dinner with the flat mates.

It was really nice. Can't remember the last time we had sunday roast together.

We were missing 2 people though :/

The food was good. And the gravy was awesome. xD

Sidenote, I went in the morning and the gravy solidified. Urghhh. Hahhaha

There was also some singing, which was hilarious.

I believe there's more to life than this.

I wish I had more guts to do things, just for the fun of it. To just go with the wind.

But no. We were brought up thinking the only way is to follow the paths laid for us, laid by others.

What about the road not taken. We speak of it, we dream about it, but only few dare to venture upon those unmarked territory. The rest of us just watch from the edge of safety and comfort, each yearning for that one step of faith. We keep worrying about what people think of us, hence, what's holding us back is really, us.

What we need is simple.

Just a little more faith. :)

Yesterday I was just sitting still for a moment and realize how wrong this world has become.

Everything is just wrong. Day in day out people just have their minds so focused on work, money, party, more work etc. Like robots, programmed to go through life like it's some sort of html thing. One day, we'll just realize how tired we are. It's draining the life out of us and we don't even notice. Guys, take a step back and look where your life is going. I don't want to wake up one day empty and realize I just spent the last 50 years of my life doing things that don't matter to me.

Just a thought.

It was so spontaneous. She called me, I said ok, called a few people and in 15 minutes we were bounding off to town to watch John Cleese turn on the Christmas lights put up everywhere in Bath. :)

The amount of workload is immense. And impossible to finish.

And I've got a feeling it'll just pile up from here.

Can't afford to go for carolling practice because of the 2 coursework that are due tomorrow. The fact that I keep getting stuck, is not much comfort either. I'm also having a lab session today. That's another 3 hours gone. Looks like another late night in the library.

This weekend is Nottingham Games and honestly, I don't feel like going after looking at all the work I need to do. I'm not that fantastic in netball anyway.

It's not the end of the week yet. Someone please make my day/week.

Why this Saturday was a good day

3. Had AWARD WINNING cornish pastries.

4. Studied quite a bit above the SU.

8. Made a wise decision and saved 5 pounds because we found out there wasn't a ferris wheel / fun fair at the fireworks thing anyway.

Basically spent my halloween celebrating flatmate's birthday (awesome food btw) and then club with the bamsa people after.

My dead school girl look failed but oh well, I had an almost scary face. xD

I am OBSESSED with curls.

Which is why I did not comb my hair this morning (most mornings) cuz there were slight curls due to my sleeping position (don't ask how) the night before. Yes, I went to class without combing my hair. And I thought it was gorgeous. :)

If anyone cares at all, my mealplans are almost the same everyday xD

Breakfast will be cereal. Lunch is toast, baked beans, sausages and ham. Subject to availability. And dinner is rice with chicken or herbal soup, OR pasta OR pizza :)

Starting to get bored so if anyone on campus decides to cook me a meal, please do. You can choose from one of the above, I'll cook for you in return :D

Wednesdays are awesome. I have a whole day free. Not to play but to catch up on whatever's been taught so far. I'm usually working but it's nice to work at your own pace once in a while. :)

I'm still in a mess. As in, my notes and stuff. I can't decide to print all the slides or to copy them into another notebook like what I did in a levels. It sure is hard work, but I think it's pretty effective. But then again, the slides contain so many diagrams and flow sheets that are impossible to copy down. Not impossible but difficult. :( And plus, I would like to be listening in class than busy writing down stuff. But also, I might fall asleep just listening. :O

It started getting cold yesterday. Like finally autumn is here.

It's not like I didn't like the weather before, I LOVED THE SUNSHINE and people sitting by the lake having lunch and stuff. But I was a bit worried that since it's not cold yet, mother nature would suddenly decide to unleash all the cold on us and one day we wake up snowed in or something. At least we can expect the cold coming now. You know.

The trees are starting to change colour, leaves are falling. It's really pretty. If only I had a pretty camera too. :( DSLR. Parents think it's a waste of money. Butttt, my camera sucks XD

Things have been really busy recently. :) Good thing though. And I'm not even sure I want to work part time anymore, with the schedule and activities going on. (Pssst.. I might join a martial arts club. I MIGHT. :D) I'll probably just work during the Christmas holidays or something. You know the short duration events ones, like at the Christmas market. That would be amazing. :D

Studies first. Just had my first day of class today. Nothing much, just introductory stuff and some basic maths. It'll get harder as time goes by. I just hope my brain will grow more amazing too. Please do. :)

I'm kinda glad to have a routine back now, but then I miss fresher's week so much. Just bumming around, going for trips, watching people get drunk and poke at them the next day, sleep really late. :D

So many inspiring people. People who've made a difference. People who have made IT, found IT.

I'm still looking for IT. Or don't know where to find IT. Cuz I'm still unsure what's the IT for me.

Repacked my bag. I know how many times I've repacked, but it just doesn't seem right.

So many things to bring, and I feel like if I leave something behind, a part of me a removed. So painful.

It like this. I take out a pile of stuff (everything) then realized it can't fit my bag. Then I decide to repack from this pile and put the ones I want to bring aside. Then I'll just move the whole pile over to another pile, leaving nothing behind. Repeat.

I should stop packing things I want to bring. But things I need to bring. It'll definitely help...............................................................Yeah right.

I miss it. That feeling. =')

Big chewy chocolate chip cookies

What I did today :D

Big chewy chocolate chip cookies.

First, I preheated the oven at 160 degrees. I sift the flour and mix with the salt and baking soda. Then in another bowl, I mixed the brown sugar, white sugar and the melted butter. (Heat the pan then turn off the fire before placing in your butter to avoid the butter from burning. I had advice from my chef brother XD) In yet another bowl, I beat the egg, egg yolk and vanilla essence together until a light creamy colour. Then mix together!! :D Added in the chocolate chips last. Then the fun part when I start placing the mixture onto the tray. You can make different shapes and sizes. So fun. Anyway, for this attempt I made normal cookies XD

Into the oven they went! And after 20 minutes,

magic happened! :D

Yes I know it isn't very pretty as I placed them too close and they merged into one giant cookie but it's tasty.

I was just lying there, thinking about how little time I have left here.

There's a tiny part of me that wish I didn't have to go. But I know I have to.

I will come home soon. By then, will you people still remember me?

Will we still talk like we do now? Will we drift apart and have awkward silences during conversations while everyone rack their brains to think of something interesting to say because things don't come naturally anymore?

Then the most part of me would be like, who am I kidding? Such absurdity.

Of course we won't drift apart. Cuz we are so freaking weird that we can only weird out with each other because nobody is that weird. Like soulmates. Distance don't separate no soulmates. :D

Someone wise once told me prior-college, that we shouldn't be sad that we are separating because we are not breaking up but we "divide, conquer and regroup"

But the floor was so much colder than the bed. The bed was just so freaking hot la.

Actually I can't really remember what happened last night. Just vague flashes of me singing nyan cat, weiken's human centipede, kimmy's scary guys, tze's OCD, the extra pair of legs walking down the stairs etc.

Woke up at 8.15 and I decided it was too cruel to wake everyone up so early.

We woke the guys at 10 and they were so grumpy XD

Khye didn't even wanna go out for breakfast with us in the morning so we left him sleeping.

I would scream if I had friends like that. SO WEIRD.

But then again, my friends are weird. Sigh. <3

Eventful Wednesday

Yesterday was so...eventful.

First things first, I managed to submit my visa application. 1 point for me.

Yes there were so many people that when I went there to line up at 6.45am, there were already 40 people in the line. It was crazy. And we had to wait till the visa centre opens at 8am. -.- By the time I got in, 8.20am. We spent about 5 hours there. I applaud my patience. Another point for me. :D

I also went to University of Bath's pre-departure briefing. Everyone was so super friendly. I love it. =) Met a few familiar faces and talked to some unfamiliar ones. Hmm. =) 1 more point for me!!

They also told me in the briefing that I should get vaccinated. OMG I am not pleased. Nononononoono =( Friday is jab me with needles day.

Anyway, because of this briefing, I was forced to ditch the pasar malam group. Which for a moment made me think I was the blitz for a while. THEN IT RAINED. And I was like, YESSS!! XD Another point!

4 points for me yesterday. Quite a good day. :D

I hope I make loads of good friends in UK :D

The week

My CAS letter came. At last.

If you were hanging out with me the past few days, well I would be talking about CAS CAS CAS CAS and CAS. Not fun to be around with. XD

Now that my CAS is here, time to apply for visa.

Thing is, all appointments are fully booked -.-

So I'll have to line up and hope that they'll let me in. It's crazyyyyyyyy. :O

Where would my feet bring me.

I see that boy in US having loads of fun and making loads of awesome friends.

Makes me wonder what kind of people I'll meet in UK. I pray everyday, that I'll meet lifelong friends, friends I can click with, friends with the same interest, friends who are fun and awesome too.

For me, the ONE sit up I was doing. Tze was sitting up like a pro. XD

I think my parents literally can't stand being in my room. They come in and get frustrated with the mess and walk out. XD

But now, I'm growing used to it. Not the best thing to get used to but yeah.

It's not helping that I'm currently cutting stuff to paste on my wall. There are pink papers, scissors and tapes all over my floor. If you don't know where to step, IT WILL KILL YOU.

Underwater tea party

We went swimming today.

We had an underwater tea party, which lasted about 2 seconds. And did silly-and-awkward-looking exercises tzejean invented. And tried to somersault underwater. And did a whole horror movie scene.

And we went to ikea and was very happy.

I cleaned my house today. Did you read that right? Not room, not floor, but the whole freaking house. *proud* :D Floor only la but I swept and I mopped. Plugged in my ipod and it was over fast. My grandma was frowning at me the whole time. Either she's weirded out by my sudden cleaning enthusiatic spirit OR my singing sucked really bad. I have a feeling it was the latter.

Anyway, I then remembered this website jw told me about a long time ago. The FML website. HAHAHA Its is really funny. I had a major laughing fit. XD Here are some really failed ones. Real life situations okayy. It funny, and its true, UNTIL IT HAPPENS TO YOU. XD

Today, I went to a concert with a friend of mine. When his dad came to pick him up, I walked towards the car, expecting a ride. His dad told me he didn't have time to drive me home. I'm his neighbour. FML

Today, I was invited over to a dinner with the CEOs of my company, along with my two children. My 3 year-old asked loudly why we have two "nose holes", to which my 4 year-old son replied "So you can pick your nose and still breathe!" He then demonstrated. FML

Today, I was hanging out with a guy that I really like. When he gave me a hug goodbye, he slid his hand into the back pocket of my jeans. It was glorious until I farted on his hand. FML

Today, I updated my facebook status to, "Party at my house this Friday. Like my status if you want to come." After about 3 hours I checked back to discover that the only person who'd liked my status was my grandma. FML

Still remembered the first day I read the first book. I was in primary school still. When mummy picked up the book and handed to me, she said, this might be a good read. Before the story became famous and all, I was already embarked on your little journey.

I was more devastated when they announced the last book, honestly. I would so camp overnight for the book, but I really can't say the same for the movie. Books > movie. ALWAYS.

But still, we watched daniel, rupert and emma grow up. It's sad to see the end of it all. Makes you wonder what's next for the trio.

Each time a new book from the series comes out, I stay up all night to finish the book. Like harry doing his homework under the blankets with his torchlight kinda thing. XD

This isn't unrest, this is people taking a stand against injustice, this is people not willing to sit around and watch things go down the drain, this is people voicing out. And instead of listening, you try to silence them. Barricading the city, stopping people from entering wouldn't solve the problem. Fair elections isn't a difficult thing to ask. The "Walk for Democracy," scheduled for Saturday, was organized by a coalition known in Malaysia as Bersih 2.0, using the Malay word for clean, The Guardian reported. The government declared the group illegal last week.

Organizers expect as many as 300,000 people. But police have denied Bersih a permit and, in exercises this week, soldiers practiced holding up signs that said "Disperse or we will shoot."

By Friday, more than 200 activists had been detained. Even the wearing of yellow, chosen as the color of the protest movement, was declared a crime.

Aliran Monthly, a publication backing the protest, posted a statement on its Web site that said "Kuala Lumpur is under siege."

"Ninety-one Malaysians have been barred from entering the city centre under threat of arrest," Aliran said. "A court order has been obtained to enforce this ruling."

Bersih is calling for fair elections, which must take place by 2013. Barisan Nasional, or the National Front, has ruled Malaysia since 1955, but the party lost a significant number of seats in 2008.

A lied was told, and the turth was heard. But it made us stronger. Two months of trying to make it happen. Stories were told and secrets were heard, kept and remembered. Trust was built. October 14th came and you finally asked the question. Screaming like crazy kids, I answered you. From there we went from the first kiss to fat strawberry lip kisses at Luna Park. With 20+ movies and hundreds of dollars spent on food. It’s only the memories that are left behind. Them promises of taking me out and shouting me a movie, never happened. Little inside jokes and muck arounds. The honeymoon stage was the best thing I’ve ever been through. All just smiles and giggles. Then weeks went past and things got complicated. You swore to never swear nor shout at me. But it did happened. People all around are telling me I don’t deserve your shit, but I ignored them and kept going on. So many times I told myself that this is it, but i never could seem to do it. I couldn’t let you go. Arguments every night, ended up with me in tears. You used to stop fighting and swearing, just to listen to me cry and tell me that everything’s alright and that you would love me no matter what. Soon you got sick of it, and told me to stop crying and grow up. That killed. It killed most because I know that we’re three years apart and I thought age was just a number too. But you made me feel as if it wasn’t that anymore. You’re so immature, that one hit me the hardest. I still help on, telling myself that you’re the one I love. One time I asked you, What if I was going through exams and shit, and I needed a break ? Your answer? Not in a million years! So three weeks ago I was going through exams and I asked you, your reply? Went for my first and last dance rehersal yesterday. Thank goodness I could still recall some steps. But mostly a blunder.

Plus, I forgot there was gonna be kneeling and turning. Everyone wore long pants except for me, braving the floor with shorts. Such a genius. Today, I see blue patches on my knees. Bugger.

When we were kids, the hardest decision was to pick out which colour to use on our drawings.

Everything is moving so fast out of a sudden. It's like the present is blurred and rolling away, leaving me behind. You know the feeling when you're running and you suddenly realize your feet is going faster than your body and you know it's getting out of control. Yeah, happens to me during sprints. Esp at the end of the 100m where you don't care how ridiculous you look but your only goal is to finish the race. That feeling.

I mean the part where everything is spinning out of control.

What I need right now is a slow dance. =)

Slow dances are my favourite parts of prom. Dim lights, love songs. Boys drop every macho-ness they've been trying to show and humbly ask girls they've been secretly in love with to the dance floor. Then you hear the crowd melt in awe. So honest, so lovely.
